Most mums have nine months to plan for their baby’s arrival. Hayley* had less than 24 hours.

Having blocked out the trauma of a sexual assault, Hayley experienced a cryptic pregnancy - she didn’t know she was pregnant until she went into labor.

With not a nappy or a wet wipe to her name, Hayley was frantic with worry about how she would care for her newborn daughter, Daisy*.

But our community rallied around her, providing her with everything she needed to begin her journey into motherhood.

“It made me feel like I could do this, rather than starting from a dark place,” Hayley says. “It meant I was able to process it without having to worry about all those basics … I could give my full attention to Daisy.”
