Workplace Volunteering

Geelong Mums Workplace Volunteers

It takes a village to raise a child, and we need your workplace team to join our village!

Together we can SHARE MORE, WASTE LESS, and ensure EVERY CHILD THRIVES.

Volunteers have always been at the heart of what we do.

What started as a small act of kindness, has grown into big waves of generosity.  In Financial Year 2023, we helped 8,578 babies and children - all thanks to the generosity, time and love of our amazing volunteers

But we can, and must, do more.

The 2021 Census suggests there are around 76,000 children (ages 0-6) living in poverty in Victoria.

We urgently need your help to support ALL of these children to thrive.

WILL YOUR WORKPLACE TEAM HELP US REACH MORE BABIES AND CHILDREN?

We have seen a 25% increase in demand for our service, but a big reduction in volunteering thanks to the pandemic.  As the cost-of-living crisis deepens, we are braced for further increases in demand, and we are determined to be able to respond.  To do so, we need urgent help to get our volunteering levels up and to meet this increase in demand for our service.

We thank you for joining our village!

Our long-term partners BUILT are valued corporate volunteers and have put together this video of their day in the warehouse.

 The details

We welcome workplace teams of up to 15 people on weekdays at our South Geelong HQ for a session from 9.30am - 2.30pm.

As a charity, we require a fee for service of $100 (plus GST) per person to help cover our costs with a minimum spend of $1000 (plus GST) per workplace team.

This amount ensures you have trained staff members guiding your team throughout the day, helping you get the most out of your volunteering experience with us. The rest goes directly to our work to rehome essentials to support thousands of babies and children each year.

If you have any further questions or would like to make a booking please contact us.

We look forward to your team joining us here at Geelong Mums and helping us achieve our vision: SHARE MORE, WASTE LESS, EVERY CHILD THRIVES
