Philanthropy Manager Position

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our Fundraising and Communications Team and manage the growth and implementation of our philanthropic campaigns.

St Kilda Mums Inc. is seeking a new part time (0.8 FTE) Philanthropy Manager to help us achieve the ambitious goals in our new strategy and reach every Victorian child that needs us by 2030. Join us at an exciting and pivotal time in our organisation’s growth as we bring our three branches together under one new brand. We’re looking for an excellent grant writer who loves meeting with donors and developing new funding opportunities – if this is you, we’d love to meet you.

Position overview

  • Responsible for securing over $1m per year in grant funding and cultivating donor relationships
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues right across the charity to build compelling cases for support, applications and pitches
  • Build positive relationships with grant funders and major donors  

Skills and attributes

  • Experience in a similar role with demonstrated knowledge in fundraising and philanthropy
  • Ability to nurture relationships with existing trusts and foundations
  • Able to identify, qualify and secure new philanthropic trusts and foundations
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills
  • Highly motivated individual who is a great ‘connector’, ‘influencer’, and ‘networker’
