Update for Volunteers

Monday 23 March

To all our amazing volunteers,

In light of developments this weekend, we have made the difficult decision to close our warehouse for volunteering and donations, pending further guidance. We are awaiting further information about what constitutes an ‘essential service’. Our hope is that we can continue to serve vulnerable families during this time.

In the meantime, we have been directed by our Board to close the warehouse to all volunteers and to all members of the community wishing to drop off items.

Our priority for Monday 23 March is to clean out the bins and ensure the warehouse is left safely for potential shutdown, as well as processing as much stock as we can, and distributing orders.

If you have home bundling or host a staging post, we ask that you bear with us as we work through the next couple of days.

Our Board will meet again on the evening of Monday 23 March. We hope we will have more information from the Government at that point to inform us about our ability to keep serving social workers and maternal health nurses.

Please keep checking this page, our volunteer Facebook page, and your email for further updates from us.

Thank you for your ongoing support. We are thinking of all of you, and we will be in touch again soon.
