As we reopen for a new year at Geelong Mums we can’t thank you enough from the bottom of our hearts for your support in 2016. We assisted more than 2,000 local families, with 5,000 babies and children receiving so many essential items like clothing, a pram, cot or car seat.
We have certainly hit the ground running this month! We have already received so many wonderful donations and have been able to support dozens of families in partnership with our network of local caseworkers and maternal health nurses.
Thanks to your ongoing support, we are humbled to be able to continue to support these children and their families. We look forward to all the good we can do together in 2017.
Volunteers... the lifeblood of Geelong Mums
Volunteers are back on board with gusto and we are working hard to ensure that every request to Geelong Mums can be filled. That’s sorting, cleaning, safety checking and bundling the amazing donated items that we receive each week.
Because of our donors and volunteers, Geelong Mums can continue to provide items like prams and car seats so that we improve community connection and reduce isolation, we will provide cots, clothing and linen that are safe and clean and enough nappies and wipes to ensure health and wellbeing.
This year, with the requests rapidly increasing we still need more volunteers! Whether it’s a couple of hours a week or month, we’d love your help to continue to be able to respond to the need. You can volunteer at our HQ or your own home, making it a really flexible way to manage your time!
If you would like to join our amazing volunteer team, please email email@example.com for further information.
Wrapped with our Christmas Appeal
We’re delighted to let you know that our first Christmas Appeal has been a wonderful success with dozens of families, community groups and businesses choosing to generously give a financial gift to Geelong Mums.
We are so fortunate that so many people like you share our belief that every baby and every child deserves a safe start.
This support for Geelong Mums means that we can continue to support families quickly with safe and quality items that are packed with love.
